Supporting South Coast families every step of the way
Welcome to Abby’s Heroes!
Our aim is to help and support children and their families
Abby's Heroes supports children, teenagers, young adults and their families, including bereaved families, who come under the care of the the Piam Brown Ward and the Teenagers and Young Adults (TYA) wards at UHS - Southampton General Hospital.
Taking care of families from across the South Coast of England, we offer Welfare Packs, Care and Comfort bags, Financial Grants, operate a family room with emergency provisions, Counselling sessions and Play Therapy for the patient and their family. We have an active days out programme for the whole family and special days for the Grandparents and siblings.
Get support
From the moment you enter UHS - Southampton General, we are standing alongside your family, quietly supporting you. We offer a range of services and projects that can help you and your family in those early days on the ward and beyond.
Donate
Your donations make a huge difference to local families. It allows us to be alongside them throughout their journey, offering emotional, financial and practical support. We cannot do what we do without your donations.
Named funds
Our dedicated Funds are a fantastic opportunity for families to honour a child or young person and to raise funds in their name. They are a positive way for families, friends and the local community to come together and make a difference.
