10 Miles for 10 Years

On Sunday, we celebrated 10 incredible years of Abby’s Heroes in the most special way possible, by recreating our very first ever fundraising event, a 10-mile sponsored walk from Eastleigh to Abbey Gardens in Winchester 💜
Whether people had been with us from the very beginning or had joined our journey somewhere along the way, this event was all about coming together to celebrate everything Abby’s Heroes stands for. It was a chance to reflect on how far we’ve come over the last decade, celebrate the families we support, and recognise the amazing community that has become our Purple Army!
And what a day it was!
The rain stayed away, the sun came out, and it was absolutely incredible to see a sea of purple t-shirts walking together through Hampshire. Seeing so many supporters, families, friends, children and even dogs joining us made the day feel incredibly emotional, but also hugely uplifting.
We absolutely loved seeing so many of you wearing our limited edition 10-year anniversary t-shirts — thank you to everyone who bought one and helped make the day feel even more special 💜
We were also delighted to be joined by Cllr Jamie Scott, Mayor of Winchester. It was wonderful to meet him and have his support for such an important milestone event.
Most importantly, we want to say a huge thank you to every single person who walked, donated, fundraised, volunteered and supported us. Thanks to your incredible fundraising efforts, we are thrilled to announce that together we raised an amazing £9,800.12 — WOW! ✨
What a fantastic way to celebrate 10 years of Abby’s Heroes.
Here’s to the next 10 years of supporting families facing childhood cancer 💜
Enjoy these beautifl pictures from the day...can you spot yourself?!
