Summer at Lee

What a weekend!

Abby’s Heroes joined the fun at Summer in Lee in August taking part in the fantastic beachfront weekend.

The two-day event included music with Beats on the Beach, a huge range of fabulous stalls, delicious street food and the star attraction The People’s Air Show on Saturday. The display started with a flypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. A Dakota, quickly followed by a Spitfire, demonstrated the agility of these planes which played a vital role in WWII.

This weekend highlighted the community spirit in Lee on Solent and helped to raise awareness of Abby’s Heroes and the challenges families face when diagnosed with childhood cancer. We would like to thank Montserrat Events, Children with Cancer UK, the volunteers and everyone who supported Abby’s Heroes.
