Lounges Passport to Support

Arcado Lounge in Christchurch have selected Abby’s Heroes as their nominated charity!

The Loungers Group are well-known for their all-day café-bars with their individual décor and their home-from-home atmosphere. There are several Lounges along the south coast and we are delighted to be associated with Arcado Lounge in Christchurch.

Area Regional Manager, Joelie Kelly and General Manager Dan launched a Passport Initiative last year where customers collect stickers when making a purchase and receive various rewards each time. All proceeds from the sale of the passports have been donated to Abby’s Heroes and these have been used to support children who have travelled to receive additional treatment in London.

Pamela Broad, Corporate Fundraiser at Abby’s Heroes commented ‘We are very grateful for the donation made from the passport scheme. This donation will give a Movie Night box to local families who need to receive treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital or University College London Hospital. The Movie Night Boxes contain everything needed for a cosy night in, including fluffy socks, snacks, a card game, cuddly toy and a voucher to download a movie. Receiving a surprise gift box like this is crucial when a child’s immune system is so low and it’s not possible to go out.’

Assistant Manager, Lucy Coles is an enthusiastic supporter of Abby’s Heroes and has many events planned for the coming year. We look forward to working together to support the children receiving treatment for cancer, and their families.
