Golf Day Fundraises £2000 for Abby’s Heroes

A golf day organised by Tim Attwood and Robert Pringle fundraised £2000 for Abby’s Heroes in memory of Robert’s daughter Chelsey-Lee.
The Golf Day took place at Mill Green Golf Club in Welwyn Garden City and was attended by 20 golfers. Tim Attwood has been organising Golf Days in support of Evergreen Football Club for several years, but when he heard about the passing of Chelsey- Lee wanted to also support Abby’s Heroes for the 2026 event.
Robert commented “ My good friend Tim has been organising golf days for 5 years to help raise funds for his boy’s football team. We have known each other for a long time , and Tim was very aware of the journey Chelsey-Lee had been on for over 6 and a half years . After Chelsey-Lee passed away in July 2026, Tim reached out to me and said he wanted to raise money at his golf day for a charity of my choice. We had received a lot of support from Abby’s Heroes whilst Chelsey – Lee was in hospital including little things like kitchen and welfare facilities being added to the ward along with snacks and Friday Night pizzas. Abby’s Heroes also assisted us with vouchers and petrol costs to and from the hospital, so it felt right to suggest Abby’s Heroes to Tim. Abby’s Heroes is only a small charity and I was overwhelmed that the Golf day was able to fundraise such a large amount of money. Tim has said this event will now be a yearly fundraising event for both Evergreen and Abby’s Heroes. I am very grateful to Tim for his kindness”
Thank you to Robert, Tim and everyone who took part in the golf day.
