New Forest Hiking Trail 2026

Set within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this unforgettable walking and hiking challenge is perfect for participants of all abilities, whether you’re looking for a steady stroll or a bigger endurance test.

Choose from 10km, 17km, or 21km routes, all following wide, hard-packed gravel trails that wind through ancient woodland and open heathland. Along the way, you may spot the New Forest’s famous free-roaming ponies, horses, donkeys, and deer grazing beside the paths, making this a truly special outdoor experience. The event starts from 8am, with walkers setting off in organised waves to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable day for everyone.
