Dragon Boat Festival 2025

On Saturday 6th September, the water was alive with energy as seven sensational teams took to the lake for our 4th annual Dragon Boat Festival, raising money for five incredible charities: Abby’s Heroes, Alfie’s Wish, George’s Rockstars, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, and Sophie’s Legacy!
This year, we splashed into action at a brand new venue – Testwood Lakes in Totton. After what felt like endless rain, the weather finally played ball – and we were treated to blue skies, sunshine, and perfect racing conditions! ☀️
The competition was fierce (and friendly!) as teams paddled their hearts out in a series of races to secure their spot in the finals. After plenty of cheering, splashing, and photo finishes, the top 4 teams went head-to-head in two nail-biting final races. 🥁
🥉 Bronze went to the brilliantly named Oarganised Chaos for Sophie’s Legacy.
🥈 Silver was snapped up by the powerhouse paddlers from Menzies for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance – despite dominating the races all day!
🥇 And finally, in a dramatic final stroke, George’s Dragons for George’s Rockstars surged ahead and were crowned the 2025 champions!
We had an absolute blast and couldn’t be prouder of every team who showed up, showed out, and helped raise funds for such meaningful causes!
