Dodgeball Tournament a First for Abby’s Heroes

At Abby’s Heroes, we love it when our supporters come up with a different type of event to help support us. This was certainly the case recently when Ace Sports hosted a Dodgeball tournament and invited five local businesses to take part.

The five teams from Womble Bond Dickinson, Hopkins, TSL, Plata and Stewart Signs really got into the spirit of the event by dressing up, especially the team from Hopkins who sported specially designed outfits based on the well know Dodgeball movie. In fact, all the teams really embraced this exciting sport – throwing themselves into the matches and everyone’s competitive instincts really came to the fore. The eventual winners were the team from TSL who defeated Womble Bond Dickinson in the final. The event fundraised a fantastic £955 for Abby’s Heroes.

Ace Sports were delighted with the event and the commitment and enthusiasm of the teams and hope to make it an annual event. We love it when our business supporters get together like this – have fun, make new contacts and friendships and fundraise for Abby’s Heroes.

The Ace Sports team so enjoyed fundraising for Abby’s Heroes that there team will now be doing  “The Big Ace Walk” in September walking 26 miles from Durdle Door to Studland Bay in support of Abby’s Heroes.
