Abby’s Heroes support children with cancer and their families across the South Coast. They aim to help and support children and their families who come under the care of the Piam Brown and Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) wards at UHS (Southampton General Hospital). They provide financial and practical help as well as the opportunity to make lasting memories for the children and their families.

Coopervision who design and manufacture innovative, high quality contact lenses to meet a remarkably wide range of wearer needs have a rich tradition of supporting local charities and encourage their employees participate in local cultural, environmental and charitable projects.

Coopervision staff selected Abby’s Heroes as their chosen charity in 2022 and soon set about organising events including their annual Family Fun Day where they brought together their Southampton based teams and their families for an afternoon of music, food and fun! Over the three years of the partnership over 1500 staff and their families attended these events with Abby’s Heroes at the heart of each of them.

David Fawcett, Community Fundraiser at Abby’s Heroes commented 'We have loved working with the whole team at Coopervision. Their staff are so enthusiastic and really love engaging with us on events and activities! To have fundraised such an amazing sum of money is incredible.'

Keith Butler from Coopervision added 'We have really enjoyed supporting Abby’s Heroes over the last three years, they are such an important, local charity and we have been proud to work alongside them.'

Keith added 'As a company we believe in being active members of our local community and our support for Abby’s Heroes is just a part of that commitment.'
