ABP Charity Quiz Night

We are delighted to confirm ABP have chosen Abby’s Heroes as their Charity of the Year 2026. The ABP team arranged an amazing Quiz Night in support of Abby’s Heroes and raised an enormous £9500 on the night. There were 300 quizzers with Ray Facey and Port of Southampton General Manager Tom Dynes, hosting the evening. Their sparkly jackets certainly made an impact and set the scene for a fabulous evening.

Sally Randall opened the evening with a short description of Abby and why the charity was started. She was joined by some of the Abby’s Heroes Trustees to join the quiz and to help to sell raffle tickets on the night and still can’t quite believe the staggering amount raised.

ABP Southampton is the UK’s largest vehicle handling port, processing 600,000 vehicles per year. As Europe’s leading turnaround cruise port, Southampton welcomes around three million passengers annually to its five cruise terminals and is also home to the UK’s second largest container terminal.

After the event, Tom commented: ‘It was a really fun evening! Huge shout out and thanks to Nicki Denbigh and my colleagues from the social committee who worked so hard behind the scenes and made sure everything ran smoothly.’
