What a Day!

The ABP Marathon, including a half 10km and 5km took place at the weekend and WOW what an event. For the first time there was a separate start line that took runners under the Iconic entrance of the ABP Dock Gate 8. Over 8000 runners took part, but none were as mighty as those running in our Abby’s Heroes purple T-shirts.

Weaving their way around the city centre our runners all made it safely back to the finish line in Guildhall Square where they were met by our team of volunteers. Our runners were made up of families from the ward, which is always humbling that they have chosen to run for us and pay it forward to families following in their footsteps. Previous runners, some who have taken their challenge up to longer distances and those who were running for the first time made up our 32 runners. We were proud of every single runner, all of whom and their reason for running and choosing Abby’s Heroes.
