Abby’s Heroes Dragon Boat Event

On Saturday 7^th September over 400 participants descended on Hythe Marina to take part in Abby’s Heroes annual Dragon Boat Festival.

This was the 3^rd Dragon Boat Festival Abby’s Heroes has organised, and this year we were delighted that Alfie’s Wish, Dylan’s Quest, George’s Rockstars, George’s Trust, Hannah’s Holiday Homes and Sophie’s Legacy were able to join us. 26 teams of 17 people entered and were whittled down to the fastest 4 teams over 3 heats. In an exciting final race George’s Rockstars took 3^rd place, Hannah’s Rambo Rainbow Rowers came in second and The Ocean Avengers took first place!

It was a fantastic day, and even some rain in the afternoon couldn’t dampen everyone's spirits!

With music, drinks, ice-cream and food available, it really was a fantastic day. A huge thank you to the Rapid Relief Team who provided food on the day with all money from the food being shared between the 7 charities.
