More Abby's Heroes Big Purple Tea Parties!

In April 2025 we launched our Abby’s Heroes Big Purple Tea Parties – an opportunity to get together with friends, family or work colleagues, enjoy a cuppa and a slice of cake whilst supporting Abby’s Heroes!

One of our very first Big Purple Tea Parties was organised by Connie and Ray Patrickson and took place at the Taste Coffee Shop in Amesbury thanks to the generosity of Taste proprietors Paul and Matt. Connie commented “ We all had a great time at our Tea Party – it’s lovely to get together with friends – take a break from everyday life and support such an amazing charity at the same time!”

An Abby’s Heroes Big Purple Tea Party took place in the splendid surroundings of the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth’s Parlour. Not only was their tea and cake aplenty but the Lord Mayor even organised a raffle. Attendee Mike Flannagan said, “It was fantastic to be part of this Big Purple Tea Party at such a unique location – I would recommend anyone to host a Tea Party either in their home or their workplace.”

Another Big Purple Tea Party took place at the offices of Womble Bond Dickinson in Southampton and even included a visit by the Abby’s Heroes mascot Abbycorn. It provided a great opportunity for the Womble Bond Dickinson team to get together and catch up with colleagues as well as supporting Abby’s Heroes.

Finally long-time supporters Vicki Dobson and Natasha Breadmore hosted a Tea Party at home attended by family and friends who sampled cakes, sausage rolls and scones. Vicki commented “We loved the idea of the Big Purple Tea Parties - there was a real buzz at our event and it was a great opportunity meet up with family and friends over tea and cakes”.
